5 PROVEN TIPS TO BECOME FLEXIBLE WITH YOGA

Yoga is a great way to develop flexibility throughout your body.
For most of us who are new to yoga, it can be intimidating and demoralizing to see how inflexible you are.

But like all things worthwhile, it's not about where we are right now, but where we want to go that matters.

It can be quite invigorating to experience gaining more flexibility with your body over the weeks and today's post was made to make sure that happens for you.

Here are 5 proven tips for becoming flexible with yoga....

1. KEEP TRACK OF WHERE YOU STARTED

It's important to make sure you connect when you start this journey and there are several reasons for this.

The first and perhaps most beneficial reason is that it will allow you to see where you started.

It will allow you to see the incremental progress over the weeks.

This can help motivate you and keep you on track to continue this journey.

The second reason to register, in the beginning, is that it allows you to see what your form looks like.

Part of seeing progress more quickly involves the ability to pay attention to details.

A minor detail can make all the difference in how you feel and perform.

2. START WITH FUNDAMENTAL YOGA POSES FIRST

It is important to make sure you master the fundamental yoga poses first.
These poses will help you build confidence and flexibility for future, more advanced poses.

By being patient and not skipping steps, you will see results come at a much faster pace and with less resistance.

3. AIM TO REALLY CHALLENGE YOURSELF

It can be very easy to do a yoga pose halfway as it is with any workout we do.

And since we all start at different levels of experience, it's important to know what your true limits are and push yourself to overcome them.

If you're just going through the motions of the poses without aiming to feel that burn or stretch, it defeats the purpose of the workout.
And what's even worse, you won't see the results you crave because you're not forcing your body to adapt to your workout.

It's time to be honest with yourself and demand the most from yourself.

4. STAY CONSISTENT AND PERSISTENT

This goes without saying, but consistency and persistence alone are the most important thing you need to demand of yourself to see results.

This can also be the hardest part of training, as there will be days when you are not as motivated to train and that is where perseverance needs to come in.
One of the ways I try to motivate myself on days when I just don't want to go is to simply remind myself why I started in the first place.

If your why is important enough to you, it should always light a fire under you to go out and achieve what you really want.

5. DO YOGA POSES THAT ARE GREAT FOR FLEXIBILITY

Some yoga poses are better for flexibility than others, so it's important to figure out which ones are and implement them consistently.

Different yoga poses stretch different muscle groups, so be sure to keep that in mind when choosing which ones to do.

It's important to make sure you're working your whole body and building flexibility evenly.

Here are some popular yoga poses for flexibility that you can check out:
